What to expect
The session takes place in a relaxing, quiet space. You will be fully clothed and supported on cushions. I may also use music to help you relax.
You will be asked what you want to achieve; whether this be an improvement in your asthma, help for panic attacks or addictions; or just wanting to connect more fully with yourself.
I will look at your current breathing pattern and then guide you into full diaphragmatic breathing and the other facets of Transformational Breath®. I use pressure (similar to acupressure) and may ask you to move your limbs to help the breath to open. You will breathe this way for around 45 minutes followed by 10 minutes of deep relaxation and integration.
Every session is different but for most people it is a somatic experience; the thinking mind becomes quiet, we go into an alpha brainwave state and the body/mind is able to process whatever is needed.
As you continue your journey with your breath you will become increasingly aware of your moment-to-moment breathing which is a great support for living consciously.
